We designed a gallery installation to display decorative arts objects within a former Masonic Hall, one of Lancaster’s most significant historic buildings. Interior woodwork salvaged locally was assembled, restored, and installed as it might have been during the 18th century. Historic mantelpieces, ironwork, door and window woodwork, and a staircase were reconstructed within the building’s ceremonial space. Period artwork was also incorporated into the exhibition and lighted with custom-made fixtures.
