New Freedom Train Station
York County, Pennsylvania

This heavy timber-framed building was so badly deteriorated that initial analysis revealed the need to completely dismantle and reconstruct it. As preservation consultants and architects, we thoroughly documented the building to ensure its accurate dismantling and reconstruction. The building now houses facilities for an adjacent rail-trail and tourist railroad.

Stevens-Smith Historic Structures Report
Lancaster, Pennsylvania

To assist in efforts to preserve the house and law office of Civil War-era Congressman Thaddeus Stevens, we prepared an Historic Structures Report for several adjacent buildings in downtown Lancaster. Our work also included technical support to retain portions of these buildings on the site of a proposed new convention center and hotel. This project was supported by World Monuments Watch and American Express Corporation
Witwer Homestead National Register Nomination
New Holland, Pennsylvania

First built by the Witwer family in the early 18th century, this house has additions from many later periods, including a summer kitchen and one-room schoolhouse. A descendant of the original builder retained our firm to produce measured drawings of the building and to prepare a National Register nomination for the property as a whole.
